In our Pre-K classroom children are learning about themselves, their community and family. The goal of the program is to prepare the children for the social, emotional, and learning expectation in a kindergarten. Our teacher’s provide positive role modeling for social and emotional growth, age appropriate materials and art experiences. Children are made to feel safe, heard and valued, at Cornerstone Early Learning Center. we also welcome child centered areas of interest basing this on our emergent curriculum which is loosely based on the Reggio Emilia curriculum. Children work in a structured classroom with routines and plans for the day. Staff works hard to make a consistent daily schedule that fits the needs of our children, packing in an understanding of letters, number’s , large motor experiences, small motor growth and social/emotional skills, all in preparation for Kindergarten.
